Cousin Andy’s welcomes Amy Kucharik home for a return engagement on the Cousin Andy’s stage. This week’s show will be down at The Yellow Moon Café in Cobden.
2015 Kerrville Grassy Hill New Folk winner Amy Kucharik applies the sweet, innocent tones of her ukulele to the (sometimes) dark humor of her wit with an infectious, danceable swing. Amy released her debut full-length CD in 2014, with tunes inspired by vintage jazz/blues in the vein of the Asylum Street Spankers, with sassy lyrics reminiscent of the Lake Street Dive or early blueswomen like Sippie Wallace, and vocals that recall Lena Horne or Maria Muldaur.
